Progression Pathways

Academus Progression Pathways offer students who either do not or did not enjoy traditional learning methods; these students who do not have any qualification or are at risk of not achieving any qualifications. These Progression Pathways are vocational and offer a qualification at Level One or Level Two in short units with credit value. These credits are transferable and students can cash them all the way to a Diploma.

Academus Progression Pathways are offered in the following strand: Business, Childcare, Employability, Fashion, ICT, Sports and Young Parent. Each unit is composed of core unit which are compulsory and specific units linked to the chosen Progression Pathway.

Students can join at:

  • Any time in the course of Year 11 as we offer a roll on/roll off programme. Students can work towards as many units as possible and credit them for post 16 study, either with Academus or in FE.
  • The start of Year 10 and work all the way to Level One/Level Two. Academus also offers these on a roll on/roll off programme. Academus also offers these pathways for EAL/ESOL learners; these lessons are taught by qualified and experienced EAL/ESOL teachers.
  • Any time from age 16-19*
