Founded in 2009, Academus is a pioneer online Independent School for boys and girls from the age of 11-19. Academus Independent provides an education for the whole child which combines traditional values with the best of current practice through the medium of the Internet.

Academus’ success is in providing a strikingly different environment online in which to learn. Each pupil’s individuality is highly valued, fostered and developed. Pastoral care is outstanding. Our small classes of no more than 12 pupils per class are the key to success for each student to develop firm academic foundations which prepares them for the transition into the adult world.

Our dedication and careful choice of teachers empower pupils with the love of learning with passionate and dedicated specialist teachers who work together to offer Academus students an all-round, balanced and stimulating education.

When people ask why I am proud to be the Principal of Academus Independent, my reply is that my greatest pride is the team spirit that emanates from every one , students, teachers and parents in our virtual school. We are pioneers in educating pupils in the 21st Century with all the values of a traditional learning environment and where everyone can be the best that they can be.
