Why Look at this Now?
The Government's Education White Paper recommended that schools should be responsible for arranging and funding alternative provision. Schools will also be responsible for the students' outcomes while they are in Alternative Provision. In addition, there are plans in the Education Bill currently going through the House of Lords to implement ever-more rigorous policies on exclusions. Academus can help your more challenging pupils to achieve the best foundation for progression. We are in talks with the DFSE about the benefits of virtual learning and we have already been working with partners in pilot projects for Raising the Participation Age. We look forward to working with stakeholders in the new national pilots for exclusion and special educational needs.
